If there is a lesion seen in the soft or hard tissues, it may require a biopsy to further elucidate what it is. This can either be an incisional (part of it removed) or excisional (whole lesion removed). Depending on what the biopsy shows, further treatment may be required, and this will be discussed with you accordingly.
